This dial type is found in both black acrylic bezel-equipped reference 6263s as well as the steel bezel reference 6265. These sister Oyster-case Daytona references were produced from 1969 to 1985 but as we will see, production of Newman dials is limited to the first five or six years, ending around 1974 or 1975. Here, we’ll use data from public auction results of the past 20 years to understand the model’s rarity and collectibility.
